Courses Offered

Basic Emergency Care

6-8 Hours

This comprehensive class incorporates four modules that taken together will give the lay rescuer the minimum level of knowledge/skills needed to manage the first few minutes of many medical and trauma emergencies. The modules included are:

  • Emergency Action Steps: Assessments of the scene and victim
  • Basic Life Support: Includes CPR/AED, airway management, and oxygen therapy
  • Blood-borne Pathogens
  • Basic First Aid: For injuries and illnesses

CPR / AED

2-4 Hours

This basic CPR class is intended for anyone who is interested in learning life-saving skills, regardless of experience level. This familiarizes students with concepts and proper application of CPR principles and incorporates AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training, which has been proven to markedly increase the chances of survival in adults who experience sudden cardiac arrest.

Basic First Aid

2-3 Hours

This course teaches concepts for recognition of injuries and illnesses of many types and the treatments which are most beneficial in the first minutes of care and prior to EMS arrival.

  • American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) curriculum offered
  • American Heart Association (AHA) curriculum offered
  • Meets OSHA, DOT, and MSHA Requirements

Bloodborne Pathogens

2 Hours

This comprehensive class incorporates four modules that taken together will give the lay rescuer the minimum level of knowledge/skills needed to manage the first few minutes of many medical and trauma emergencies. The modules included are:

  • Satisfies OSHA BBP standards
  • Awarded 2 CE’s for dental offices in Maryland

Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS)

3-4 Hours

This course is a requirement for most healthcare providers and incorporates advanced skills and training, to include some airway adjuncts and physiological/anatomical discussions.

  • Fulfills requirement for most healthcare providers
  • Renewal classes are significantly shorter

ACLS / PALS

6 Hours

Both of these advanced courses can be taught on-site and at your convenience. We have taught these classes in dental suites and surgery centers. As long as there is room to practice realistic advanced scenarios, we can accommodate your needs.

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
